The Newly Elected Secretary of the NPP in the Western Region, Okatakyie Amankwaa Afrifa called on the rank and file of the party to come together after the regional executive elections.
He said, delegates as representatives of the party faithful have spoken and must be respected.
Speaking to the media after his election and swearing-in, Mr Okatakyie Amankwaa Afrifa popularly known as OKT promised to build bridges toward party unity and cohesion with the view to improving the performance of the party in the next election.
He commended all the elected executes and the delegates, assuring them the trust reposed in the new executives will spur them on to go the extra mile for the party.
OKT, also a former media practitioner and Combinations Officer of the party, assured of cooperating with the media to get the best for the Western Region.
On Friday, May 27, 2022, elections took place in seven regions namely; Ahafo, Bono-East, Northern, North East, Savannah, Upper East and Western North.
That of Ashanti, Eastern, Greater Accra, Oti, Volta, Upper West and Western have also taken place.
The election in the Bono Region was held on Sunday, May 29, 2022.
The only outstanding election is that of the Central Region where polls have been suspended until further notice due to a court action.
While some incumbents retained their positions, others failed in their re-election bids, paving the way for fresh entrants to take over the job at the regional level.
