The Ghana Education Service, GES will today begin the verification and confirmation of schools by the 2021 BECE candidates.
This exercise, according to GES forms part of measures to ensure a smooth placement of the candidates to various schools of their choice this year.
As such the Computerized School Selection on Placement System (CSSPS) Secretariat has made available the choices of schools selected by the 2021 BECE candidates through bulk SMS, USSD messaging and online for verification and confirmation.
In a statement signed by its Public Affairs Officer, Cassandra Twum Ampofo, parents, candidates and teachers must take note that a bulk SMS of the school selected would be sent to the contact numbers provided by candidates during the school selection.
It urged candidates to check and immediately notify their various heads of schools of any error found for corrections to be made.
The statement further added apart from the bulk message sent to all contacts, parents and candidates can also dial *899*88# and follow instructions to verify choices made via USSD, in addition , the online portal can also be accessed via https://csspsverify.com.
The Service however, entreated candidates to note that this exercise is not a new process of school selection and therefore schools cannot be changed except there is an error that needs to be rectified.
The exercise commences today , Wednesday February 16 and is expected to end on Tuesday, February 22, 2022.
