Christians told to put on the full armour of God for greater impact

Pastor Daniel Okyei Boakye

Pastor Daniel Okyei Boakye, Resident Minister of the Pentecost International Worship Center (PIWC) Takoradi, a subsidiary of the Church of Pentecost (CoP) has implored Christians to put on the full armour of God to witness greater things in their lives done by God in the year 2022.

Speaking at the church’s 31st watch night service heralding the New Year on the theme, “Put on the full armour of God and you will see greater things than these”, he explained that God has called us for Himself and requires us to be by Himself to do his bidding but the enemy, the devil will always resist us, hence the need to put on the full armour of God.

He quoted from Ephesians 6:10-19 which reads thus, “Put on the armour of God. Finally, be strengthened by the Lord and his powerful strength. Put on God’s armour so that you can make a stand against the tricks of the devil. We aren’t fighting against human enemies but against rulers, authorities, forces of cosmic darkness, and spiritual powers of evil in the heavens.”

He listed seven (7) things the writer enjoins Christians to do to be able to survive the test of time and to see greater works of God in the lives of believers and said “decide to put on the full armour of God with the sword of the spirit which is the Word of God”.

Pastor Boakye further implored Christians to decide to live a life of righteousness so that we don’t fall into the trap of the devil, prepare to share the gospel of Christ everywhere you find yourself and victory shall be yours and take up the shield of faith true which we shall propel all the attacks thrown at us by the enemy.

He urged Christians to walk with the mindset that they have been saved and, therefore, walk in that salvation of the Lord, with the Word of God in their hearts, and they shall be able to defeat the devil come what may.

According to him, for the armour in the hands of the Christian to be effective and efficient, there was the need to sharpen them through the prayer of all kinds, at all times in everything.

“If we will resort to prayer and supplication then we will encounter greater things in our career, education, finances, families and every facet of our lives”, he maintained.

The Resident Minister recounted that the God of the Christians was not the God of the past but of the future who do greater things than he did before.
