Trial for Takoradi Fake Kidnapping and Pregnancy Case to Begin January 6, 2022
The case involving Josephine Panyin Mensah, the accused who faked her kidnapping and pregnancy has been slated for January 6, 2022.
The case was presided over by His Worship Michael Ampadu at the Takoradi Harbour Circuit Court A.
Josephine Panyin Mensah has been charged on two counts of deceiving a public officer contrary to section 251 (B) of the Criminal Offences Act and publication of false news with the intent to cause fear and panic contrary to section 208 (1) of the Criminal Offence Act.
The counsel for the accused, Lawyer Fifi Buckman in an interview with the media, expressed displeasure with the set date but stated his team were ready to defend the suspect.
