The Member of Parliament for Sekondi Constituency and Deputy Minister for Energy, Andrew Egyapa Mercer has assured residents of a construction and completion of roads in some parts of the constituency. He stated that, the construction of roads in the constituency has come to stall due to financial constraints on the side of the contractor.
In an interview with Spice Fm, Mr. Mercer mentioned that the contractor in charge of construction has halted the work as a result of lack of funds but stated that works on some major roads would commence very soon.
“The contractor has stopped the construction because of funding but I want to assure my people that very soon, works would begin.”
He hinted of roads within the Kweikuma, Adiembra and Parisquare Township is part of the construction to be taken by Justmoh Construction Limited.
Mr. Mercer also said, the Sekondi market is set to undergo a construction as was captured in the 2022 budget by the Finance Minister.
According to Mr. Mercer, the construction would take commence after the approval of the 2022 budget.
