Spice Fm enlightens electorates at Kwesimintim Constituency

Spice Fm 91.9 MHz, a leading local radio station in Takoradi and a subsidiary of the Focus 1 Media Group has sensitized the electorates of the Kwesimintim Constituency in the Western Region on developmental issues and challenges facing the constituency to make informed decisions during the December polls.

The initiative dubbed, “Spice Constituency Tour” aims at informing electorates in seven (7) constituencies on issues pertaining to their respective constituencies to be able to make the appropriate decision on the 7th December elections.

As such, the station pitched its studio in the Kwesimintim Constituency to take the views of constituents and allow them to voice out their sentiments as well.

The focus of the discussions was generally on developmental issues and the performance of the Members of Parliament (MPs), the Assembly Members as well as the Effia-Kwesimintim Municipal Assembly (EKMA).

The program which took the form of a panel discussion later brought on board members of the community to also have their say.

Among the panel were representatives of the political parties, Parliamentary Candidates PC’s), opinion leaders, market leaders and, community and youth groups.

Lawyer Philip Fiifi Buckman, Kwesimintsim Constituency parliamentary candidate for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) mentioned some of his support to the youth and reiterated his commitment to continually serve the constituents when elected as the Member of Parliament.

Mr Samuel Kwabena Antwi, Kwesimintim Constituency parliamentary candidate for the Progressive People’s Party (PPP) contended that the time was rife to make changes in leadership for the constituency to put development at an accelerated pedal for the constituents.

He therefore called on the electorates to consider voting him as their legislator to champion development in the constituency.

The representatives from the Ghana Union Movement (GUM) took their turn in advocating for change since the country was tired with the reigns of the two major political parties, NDC and NPP.

They called on the electorates to have confidence in the party and vote them into power to fast-track the development of Ghana and to make life more easy for Ghanaians.

The session was the second in the Tour with other constituencies to go – Takoradi Constituency, Sekondi Constituency, Shama Constituency, Ahanta West Constituency and Essikado-Ketan Constituency.
