I’m not thinking of retiring from the Black Stars – Lee Addy

Former Black Stars defender Lee Addy has stated that he is not thinking of retiring from the Senior National Team, the Black Stars of Ghana.

The former National lateral who represented Ghana at the World and African Cup competitions is not thinking of calling time on his international career.

He made the remark when speaking to Abaidoo Abednego on Spice Center Sports, on the assertions that he was considering quitting the Black Stars.

“No, not really, truth be told, I am not thinking of retiring, am very grateful for what the National Team has done for me personally, and am still in the game so am not in the rush to retire from the National Team”, he emphasized.

“So far as I’m still playing, let’s see what God will do, if He says it’s over, you have to hang your boots for someone else to continue, so be it! I will announce it for everyone to be ok”, he added.

Lee Addy played his last game in the national shirt in 2013 and appeared once for Ghana at the World Cup and three times at the African Cup of Nations (AfCON).
