W/R POLICE CONFIRMS DEATH OF 8YEAR OLD BOY AT ADIEMBRA IN SEKONDI/TAKORADI

The Western Regions Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Olivia Ewurabena Adiku has confirmed the death of a boy identified as Kobina, an 8 years old boy whose lifeless body was found at the residence of the Naval officers at Adiembra a suburb of Sekondi.

Speaking to our reporter Benjamin Bray, DSP Olivia Ewurabena Adiku said that reports of a found dead body at Adiembra got to the notice of the police service at about 2pm on Sunday, September 1, 2019 where she asked some police officers to attend to the situation.

“We cannot really tell what happened to him now, that is why we have deposited his body at the Effia-Nkwanta Regional Hospital in Sekondi pending feather investigations.”

She however pleaded with the general public to assist the Ghana Police Service with relevant information in order to flash out such behaviors from our society.

Background

The residents of Adiembra and its environs yesterday, Sunday September 1st 2019, could not hold on to their disbelief when a dead body of a small boy was found in between a backyard plantain farm adjacent the residents of Western Naval Officers Mens in Sekondi.

Residents say the lifeless body of the 8 years old boy was uncovered by a dog.

According to them, the severity of the dogs barking drew the attention of it owner and neighbors to the alleged gruesome murder of the small boy whose absence from his family home was announced in the local radio a Saturday night.
