Ghanaian record producer and sound engineer, Nana Yaw Nkrumah is known as Dr Ray Beat, has stated that Dancehall artiste Shatta Wale is currently the biggest artiste in Ghana.
Dr Ray made this statement with no regrets claiming that the feature Beyonce had with Shatta Wale has kept Shatta on top of any other artiste in Ghana.
Speaking on Vibe With Jibriel on Ye Kasa Tv, the sound engineer mentioned no other artiste can break the record Shatta Wale and his team has been able to set up in the Ghanaian music space.
When asked which artiste is pushing the country (Ghana) to the world most, Dr Ray mentioned Shatta Wale.
“ermmm, for now we all know it is Shatta Wale. Beyonce’s feature with Shatta Wale is the biggest which makes Shatta Wale the biggest artiste in Ghana. Beyonce being a big artiste and coming down to look for our own local champion then what is bigger than this again?”
Producing beats for Ghanaian hitmakers for the past decade, Dr Ray says Ghanaian artiste have done their best to put Ghana on the map with little support from Government.
