Nii Odartey Lamptey Finally Reacts After Court Orders His Ex- Wife Out Of His 7-Bedroom House
After seven years of battling his cheating ex- wife over custody of his money and properties, former Black Star player Nii Odartey Lamptey has finally been acquitted.
The court of appeal has ordered ex- wife of the footballer, Gloria Appiah to move out of the seven bedroom East Legon mansion with immediate effect after deliberating on the matter.
After their divorce following cheating allegations, Gloria decided to keep the seven bedroom house and filed a case at the Court of Appeal to legally own the property.
Somewhere in June 2017, it was reported that the Accra High Court, presided by Justice Cecelia Don – Chebe Agbevey, put finality to the long legal battle and ordered Gloria out of the premises.
Even though the court ordered Nii Odartey Lamptey to also pay her an amount of GH200,000.00, a car and his four bedroom house located at Dome, Gloria wanted more.
She disagreed with the ruling and appealed for a review of the verdict.
Well, Justice has finally been served after three judges of the appeal court who sat on the case ordered Gloria Appiah to immediately move out.
Reacting to the good news, Odartey Lamptey could not hide his joy.
Speaking in an interview on Kasapa FM with Alexander Amankwaa, Odartey Lamptey bemoaned that “I feel happy now because it’s been over seven years of legal battle but I thank God that finally her appeal against me has been thrown out and the court has ordered her to evacuate from my mansion. It has not been easy at all but I thank The Lord Almighty for a battle well fought. I thank my lawyers, Kizito Beyuo & Iris K. Aggrey-Orleans for a great job.”
He added that he wishes no one goes through what he was subjected to by his ex-wife.
“It’s my prayer that nobody experience this kind of situation because it can easily ruin your life,” Odartey told Kasapa FM’s Sports Journalist Alexander Anyankwaa.
The ex-Ghana star now has three beautiful children with movie star Ruweida Yakubu, two girls, and a boy.
