The Western Regional New Patriotic Constituency Treasurer, Mark Ofori has been shot dead by unknown assailants in his Fijai residence in the early hours of the morning.
The unknown assailants did not show interest in any property of the victim except his life.
A member of the family who spoke to Beachfmonline on the condition of anonymity said the body of the victim has been deposited at the Effiankwanta Regional Hospital Mogue and currently undergoing the necessary checks and documentation.
He confirmed that Ghana Police, Western Regional Minister, and Mp for Takoradi Constituency, Kobby Okyere Darko together with other party faithfuls have all visited the scene.
