The Black Queens of Ghana arrived at the Kotoka International Airport to meet huge chants and admirations from fans after emerging as winners of the WAFU Zone B Women’s Cup of Nations.
Ghana’s Black Queens arrived at KIA yesterday, February 25, with the maiden WAFU Women’s Cup trophy.
The senior women’s national team beat host Ivory Coast 1:0 courtesy a goal from Janet Egyir in the third minute to secure the maiden trophy.
The team led by Coach Mercy Tagoe Quaicoo met delegation from the Ministry of Youth and Sports also led by Deputy Minister Honorable Pius Hadzide.
