Accra High Court rules in favour of GFA against Great Olympics

Ghana Football Association has today been adjudged winners against Accra Great Olympics by the Accra High Court regarding the Premier League side’s Interlocutory Injunction on the start of the 2017-18 Ghana Premier League.
The Ghana Premier League side placed an interlocutory injunction on the league with few days to the start of the stipulated 11th February, 2018.
The situation turned Accra Great Olympics and the Ghana Football Association to settle their differences in court, the Accra based side thought the GFA will not use the relations governing the association to full effect after having genuine cases on Bechem United and Elmina Sharks which should have gone in their favour.

The Accra High Court on its first hearing on the case asked both parties to furnish the court with better particulars on the pending issue to be handled before the 14th of February to aid in quick judgment on the case of which both Accra Great Olympics and Ghana Football Association did.
The court met both parties today 21st February, 2018 and has ruled in favour of the Ghana Football Association to continue with the organization and start of the 2017/18 season.
There will likely be an appeal on the case by Accra Great Olympics to re-address their issue for fair judgement even after exhausting all the legal committees at the FA and at the Accra High Court.
