Kumasi Asante Kotoko moves up to 5th position after yesterday’s win

Thanks to goals from Steven Mukwala, Richard Boadu, and Nicholas Mensah, Kotoko soared from 11th to 5th position with an outstanding match between Bechem Chelsea to be played on Thursday at 3:00pm.

A match between their city rival, King Faisal, has always not been an easy ride. Before the game, the two sides have met 16 times. 6 of this meeting has ended in a draw, and both had shared the same number of wins (5).

However, 10minutes into the game, Steven Mukwala put Kotoko ahead with a fine finish. 17 minutes later, Richard Boadu doubled the lead with a goal from the penalty spot to give the fabulous supporters a space to breathe.

Scores remained 2-0 in favour of the Porcupine Warriors until mildfielder Nicholas Mensah’s 56th minute goal sealed the win for the Defending champions. The victory is their second in three games.

King Faisal on the other hand continues to search for their first win of the season. They are at the bottom of the league table with 0 points.

On top of the league table is Aduana Stars (10 points)
