The opening day of the 2017/2018 Premier League season has thrown up some mouthwatering pairings as the Premier League released the fixtures for the season which commences on the weekend of August 12 2017. 
From a Ghanaian perspective the focus will be on the Ghanaian players playing in the world’s most competitive league. There are currently five Ghanaian players in the premier league namely, Jordan Ayew and his elder brother Andre Ayew play for Swansea City and West Ham United respectively, Newcastle United’s Christian Atsu, Leicester City’s Daniel Amartey and Jeffery Schlupp of Crystal Palace.
West Ham United’s Andre Ayew will be meeting Manchester United on match day one, Swansea’s Jordan Ayew and Christian Atsu of Newcastle United will be playing against Southampton and Tottenham Hostpurs respectively. Jeffery Schlupp’s first game of the season will be against newly promoted Huddersfield while Daniel Amartey will be in action against Arsenal at the emirates on the opening day.
The 2017/2018 Premier League will be live on Beach FM in the western and central region.
