Police apprehends three students from Wa Technical Institute for allegedly attacking their housemaster

In the Wa municipality of the Upper West region, three students from Wa Technical Institute have been arrested by the police on allegations of attacking their housemaster.

The incident, which occurred on Tuesday, July 25, was brought to light after school authorities filed a formal complaint about the severe assault on the teacher.

The housemaster, Ishmail Musah Froko, sustained serious injuries and was immediately taken to Wa Municipal Hospital for urgent medical attention.

The attack occurred at the house two block of the Wa Technical Institute while the housemaster was conducting a routine monitoring visit. One student was arrested for assaulting the housemaster, while two others were apprehended for assaulting a student who tried to rescue the teacher.

The headmaster of Wa Technical Institute assured parents that the situation was under control and that the safety of all students at the school remained a top priority.

He urged parents to closely monitor the behavior and conduct of their children.

Currently, the police have detained the three students involved in the attack to assist in the ongoing investigations.
