FORMER VICE PRESIDENT, AMISSAH ARTHUR DONATES TO VOLTA REGIONAL HOSPITALS

The former Vice President, Paa Kwesi Amisah Arthur has put smiles on the faces of children on admission at the Volta Regional Hospital by way of giving gifts to the children during this festive season.
During Christmas festivities, children naturally would love to play a lot with friends and share gifts. But unlike others, these kids on admission wouldn’t have the opportunity to visit loved ones or go to church and share with friends due to their ill-heath.



Meanwhile there was extreme shout of excitement in the hospital when the presence of the former Vice president, AMISAH Arthur and his Wife, Matilda as well as other party executives was announced. They presented huge hampers, bags of rice, assaulted drinks and fruits in the cost of Ghc 20,000 to the children on admission in both the children’s and babies ward in the Volta regional hospital on the Christmas day, 25, December.
Presenting the items, Vice President said, he believes in giving out to assist communities when they are in need and he is therefore optimistic the donation will go a long way to put smile of the faces of the children and their parents alike.
The former Second lady, Matilda AMISAH Arthur on his part promise to visit other Regional hospitals as well during this festive season.
The Medical Superintendent of the Volta Regional Hospital, Jonh Tampouri said such interventions from individuals and corporate bodies go a long way in helping patients to recovery fast and therefore call on others to emulate and do same.
He added that the hospital is lacking a lot of things like cardio practice unit and called on the Ghana Health Service to come to their aid as a matter of urgency.
The member of Parliament for Ho Central Constituency, Benjamin Kpodo who led the team also presented 8 bags of rice, 4 canton of frytol and 4 boxes of Geisha mackerel to the Ho Municipal Hospital.
