In a startling turn of events, the individual believed to be behind the controversial audio recording, which was initially attributed to Ghana’s Majority Leader, Osei Kyei Mensah-Bonsu, has stepped forward to clear the air.

In an exclusive audio recording to our news team, the alleged impersonator claims that the voice circulating on social media is indeed his own and not that of the Majority Leader.

The individual, who has remained anonymous until now, expressed his frustration with the ongoing controversy and the potential damage to the reputation of high-profile individuals like Osei Kyei Mensah-Bonsu. He revealed that the audio was created as a form of political satire but had unintentionally gained widespread attention and was misattributed to the Majority Leader

“Sometime ago a radio station in New Jersey hosted me and we spoke about the NPP Delegates conference and a host of other political topics. The interview was about three hours; somehow, in the last few days I have seen all over social media saying that the Majority Leader has been exposed. After I listened, I said this is me and not the leader -I can even say the audio has been edited probably to support someone.”

In a surprising twist, the alleged impersonator is urging the Majority Leader to take legal action against those responsible for orchestrating the confusion. He emphasizes that legal action is necessary to put an end to such machinations, which he believes are aimed at tarnishing the hard-earned reputation of prominent figures in Ghana’s political landscape.

“I will rather advise that he takes a court action against them to put a stop to this nonsense, I am willing to assist in any way possible; I am all ready. I have seen the statement from the leader asking them to retract and apologize”, he added.

The Way Forward

This unexpected revelation adds a new dimension to the impersonation controversy. As questions continue to arise regarding the origins and motivations behind the controversial audio, the call for legal action may lead to a more thorough investigation into the matter.

The situation surrounding the impersonation of the Majority Leader remains fluid, with both the alleged impersonator and the Majority Leader’s office weighing in on the matter.

As the story develops, we will keep you informed of any further updates or actions taken in response to this surprising twist.
