A 3- year old girl has sustained injuries after the mother immersed her into hot water in Samreboi, a community in the Wassa Amenfi West Municipality.
The mother of the child has been complaining that her 3-year-old daughter did not return one of the sandals she bought for 8 Ghana Cedis.
Hence, the mother boiled water and placed the child in, as a form of punishment which resulted in severe injuries.
The case has thus been reported to the Samreboi Police Station for investigations.
Narrating the incident to Spice 91.9FM on the Adekyee Mu Nsem Morning Show, the Assembly Member of WomanNoGood Electoral Area, Asule Suleman said, the victim was sent to the Samartex hospital but was referred to the Okomfo Anokye Hospital in Kumasi.
He further revealed that the child can neither walk nor sit due to the severity of the injuries.
