Akufo-Addo – There is value in educating the muslim child

President Nana Akufo-Addo has encouraged the Muslim community to embrace education, emphasizing the value it holds. He expressed that the country provides opportunities for children to fulfill their highest potential.

The President urged them to make use of the progressive education policies and educate both male and female children. He conveyed this message while addressing Muslims at the national celebration of Eid-ul-Adha in Accra’s Independence Square.

President Akufo-Addo stated that educating Muslim children aligns with the principles of Islam. He referred to the initial verses revealed to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), emphasizing the importance of reading and learning through the act of writing.

The President highlighted how education has enabled numerous Ghanaian Muslims to reach the pinnacle of their careers. He acknowledged their contributions in various capacities, benefiting society’s growth.

In the spirit of Eid, the President urged Muslim faithful and fellow Ghanaians to support the government in achieving progress and prosperity. He assured the Muslim community that his administration would ensure the equitable distribution of critical resources necessary for developing a strong human resource base.

Despite the economic challenges faced by the nation, President Akufo-Addo affirmed the government’s unwavering commitment to working diligently for the betterment of the people.

Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the President had previously stated that while lives cannot be restored, the economy can be rebuilt. He reaffirmed his stance and expressed confidence in revitalizing the economy. President Akufo-Addo pledged to work diligently towards its full recovery, with the support of the people and by the grace of God (Insha Allah).
