The ministry will host the next sessions.

The Minerals Commission’s equipment tracking committee was also contacted by the Deputy Minister in order to, among other things, offer an update on the operations of the situational room, which had just been inaugurated and was designed to keep an eye on unauthorized mining operations. The committee informed the Deputy Minister that advancements have been made.

Mr Duker once more met with members of the Planning Committee for the Ministry’s next Stakeholders Dialogue on Managing Ghana’s Natural Resources scheduled for May 11–12, 2023 in cooperation with Graphic Group Communications Ltd.

A meeting with a group of German investors interested in opening a glass factory in Ghana’s Western Region served as the Deputy Minister’s final engagement of a busy day.

He said that the Ministry was prepared to offer all the assistance required for them to obtain the appropriate permissions and licenses to mine their operations’ primary raw material, silica and that it would be willing to do so.

In order for these businesses to succeed, the government will continue to create an enabling environment.
