Bliss GVS, a Pharmaceutical Company, in the production of malaria drugs has donated Malaria drugs worth 30, 000 Ghana cedis to the Effia Nkwanta Regional Hospital.
The donation took place at the forecourt of the hospital where boxes of malaria tablets were presented to the hospital authority.
Speaking to the media, after the presentation, the Medical Representative, Justice Yalley, stated that the move forms part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) which is carried out annually to support the fight against the elimination of malaria in Ghana as well as the continent at large.
Justice said the donation is to support and equip the hospital’s pharmacy to offer healthcare to the vulnerable with malaria symptoms.

“This donation is part of our Corporate Social Responsibility. We think about the needy in society and we believe our donations will be of benefit to them when they access healthcare,” he said.
Some of the drugs donated include Lonart DS, Lonart Forte Tablet, and Lonart 24, amongst others.
He also disclosed that similar donations has been done in the Koforidua Regional Hospital, Tema Teaching Hospital in a quest to reduce the malaria burden.
Receiving the items on behalf of the hospital, the Head of Pharmacy, Francis Darko Afari expressed gratitude to the Company.
In his acceptance speech, he noted that the donation is timely because malaria forms 30 per cent of cases recorded in the hospital on daily basis.
Mr Afari assured the company of putting the medicines to the right use, and added that “the medicine will help to alleviate the 30 per cent of malaria cases presented to the hospital”.
