Tarkwa Nsuem MP, Hon Mireku Duker And MCE Commission Projects Worth GH¢ 1 Million
George Mireku Duker, Member of Parliament for Tarkwa Nsuem Constituency and MCE of Tarkwa Nsuem Municipality, Ben Kesse, have commissioned couple of projects worth GH¢ 1 million on Wednesday 13th October 2021 to address the developmental challenges of some communities and schools in the Municipality.
The sod cutting of the various projects commenced with durbar of Chiefs, teachers, students, opinion leaders, government official and residents of the beneficiary communities.
The three major projects which were funded through Minerals Development Fund (MDF) and facilitated by Deputy Minister of Lands and Natural Resources included;
A 6- unit classroom block at Essuoso Catholic Basic School, Domeabra M/A basic school which all contains offices, ICT room and lavatory as well as a 16-seater WC toilet facility at the Fiaseman Senior High School (FIASSEC) at Tarkwa.
The completion of the facilities will finally address initial challenges faced by the various schools and communities.
In a speech delivered by, Mr. Joseph Amihere, Mr. Ebenezer Anane Atuahene and Mr. Sagoe, headmasters of Esuoso Catholic basic school, Domeabra M/A basic school and FIASSEC respectively, all applauded the MP and Hon. Benjamin Kesse for their sterling performance in ensuring that, the projects are completed on time.
Nana Kwesi Attobrah II, chief of Esuoso on behalf of his people, thanked the leadership for such an edifice which will bring shift system at the basic school to an end. The Chief further pleaded with Hon. Mereku Ducker to start plans of putting up an additional JHS block for the community;
Nana Badu II, Odikro of Domeabra also expressed his profound gratitude for such a magnificent school block built for his community.
In exclusive interview with Spice News, Hon. Mireku Ducker shared the activities of the day and how the sod cutting of the three major facilities in the various community was done.
“At Esuoso, I used the opportunity to outline my achievements so far, and assured the community, timely completion of the Kwarekwano-Banso-Esuoso road which is under construction.
At FIASSEC, I pointed out the newly built dining hall, two different storey buildings for boys dormitory and a 12-Unit classroom block under construction as some landmark projects by the NPP government under my tenure as MP”.
The MP went on to acknowledge Hon. Ben Kesse, Municipal Chief Exuctive of Tarkwa Nsuem for his impressive role in the completion of the project.
“I must say, having a supportive MCE has led to the timely completion of all these projects. On behalf of the good people of Tarkwa-Nsuaem, I thank H. E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for reappointing Hon. Kesse”.
He further assured the communities of judicious use of funds in the MDF as Deputy Minister of Lands and Natural Resources responsible for mining with oversight responsibility over MDF
“I further indicated that, , I will ensure such funds released to this constituency are used judiciously through the Assembly. Government is in the process of addressing capping challenges of the fund”.
He also used the occasion at the various communities to continuously extend gratitude to the Assemblies Officials, Constituency Executives and the Media for the support .
