A destructive fire erupted at Circle ECOMOG in the Greater Accra region, reducing numerous wooden structures to ashes.
The blaze ignited around 4 PM yesterday, causing extensive damage and sending residents into a frenzy to seek safety and salvage belongings.
A resident described the chaotic scene, saying, “It all happened so fast. One moment everything was normal, and the next, there was fire everywhere.”
While the exact cause of the fire remains unclear, its swift spread indicates that the densely packed wooden buildings and potentially flammable materials within may have intensified the inferno.
Local authorities have launched an inquiry to uncover the fire’s origin.
In the aftermath, the Circle ECOMOG community faces the daunting task of rebuilding as residents sift through the debris of their homes, hoping to salvage whatever they can.
