Ghana Publishing Company unveils enhanced national gazette with advanced security features

The Ghana Publishing Company Limited (GPCL) has launched a redesigned edition of the national gazette, incorporating advanced security features to deter forgery and uphold the credibility of official publications.
As the country’s sole authorized publisher of gazettes, GPCL’s latest initiative marks a significant step toward modernizing its operations and strengthening public trust in state-issued documents.
The updated gazette now features a gold-coloured Coat of Arms embedded with specialized security elements, along with a unique watermark—making unauthorized duplication virtually impossible using conventional methods.
In a press release, the company stated that these enhancements form part of a broader effort to safeguard the integrity of government-sanctioned information and prevent the proliferation of counterfeit gazettes.
“The new design serves as a clear and reliable indicator of authenticity—one that institutions and the general public can confidently rely on,” the statement noted.
GPCL emphasized that this security upgrade reaffirms its commitment to being a trusted custodian of official information and a key contributor to promoting good governance and legal certainty in Ghana.
