My ‘Sika Kankan’ Song blew Because Of The Brouhaha Surrounding It — Kweku Darlington
Ghanaian rapper songwriter and producer Emmanuel Kweku Owusu Darlington, who is widely known as Kweku Darlington has voiced out what made his song dubbed ‘Sika Kankan’.
After Ghanaian singer Kweku Darlington released his song “Sika Kankan,” an up-and-coming artiste goes by the name of Ikan claimed ownership of the tune.
Ikan, an up-and-coming musician, came forward to claim ownership of the tune.
Ikan presented a brief video to the public in which he implied that Kweku Darlington wrote his song after posting a freestyle of the artist on his social media page before the latter released it.

After some back and forth, the singer of “Sika Aba Fie” sued the up-and-coming performer named Ikan to get him to take back what he had said online
He revealed the secret that blew the song “Sika Kankan” in a conversation with award-winning host The Macall Mensah on Beach 105.5mhz’s The Compound House show.
He claims that the media commotion and hullabaloo around the release of “Sika Kankan” between him and Ikan was the cause of the song’s success.
When he was in the United Kingdom for an event, he questioned his management if they had released his song “Sika Kankan,” to which they replied that they had.
He continued, “I was happy about the noise and brouhaha because I needed it to push the song.” He said that when he went online and saw people talking about him stealing “Sika Kankan” from up-and-coming artist Ikan, he was happy about it.
He claims that after performing the song on stage during a show when he first arrived in Ghana, the audience began to chant and jam to the new song “Sika Kankan.”
