Mental Health Disorder Should Be Treated Medically Not Spiritually – Psychiatry Nurse Urges Ghanaians

Mental Health

A Mental Health Practitioner Mr. Yussif Mustapha in an exclusive interview with Beach Newsroom has expressed concerns that persons should prioritize their mental health as a medical condition and not spiritual.

Ghana joined the rest of the world on October 10 to celebrate World Mental Health Day on the theme, ‘Making mental health and wellbeing for all a global priority’.

With emphasis on making Mental Health a priority Mr. Yussif Mustapha said people who turn to depend on religious entities in most cases instead of rushing to the health centres for the needed medication should change from the act, as it leads to most cases getting to the hospitals at their worse stages.
