Ghana Immigration Service (GIS) Rejects Findings Of CHRAJ Bribe- Taking Report

The Ghana Immigration Service challenges findings of ranking the institute second highest in the bribe-taking report. This was after a survey conducted by Commission for Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) in collaboration with the Ghana Statistical Service (GSS) and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) which was launched on Wednesday.

Head of Public Affairs Chief Supt. Micheal Amoako-Atta argued in his dissent that the report should not be generalised to the whole institute.

According to him, time should be taken to investigate each case to conclude if it was individual misconduct rather than conducting that the whole GIS is involved in the misconduct.

In addition, he assured Ghanaians the result, however, will not have an effect on the anti-terrorism campaign.
