Every Artiste Was Paid for Performing at the Global Citizen Festival – Gyakie
Artistes that performed at the just ended Global Citizen Festival was paid according to Gyakie.
It was reported by Kojo Poku, the CEO of Big Ideaz Consult, a local partner of the Global Citizen Festival that, no artiste was paid to be on the stage.
Clearing the air, renowned songstress Gyakie says everyone who played a role at recently ended Global Citizen Festival wad paid some amount of money.
In her latest interview, she made it know to the public that, every artiste did not charge the organizers but they were not left empty handed.
“Yes, everybody that was on the stage was obviously paid. The dancers, the choristers, the band. Everybody.”
Gyakie performed at the festival which happened on Saturday together with Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Yaw Tog and Kwesi Arthur.
There were also performances from Stormzy, SZA, Oxlade, Pheelz, Tiwa Savage, Tems and Usher.
The renowned songstress also tweeted:
How on earth do we have a big event like Global Citizen and you assume everything is completely free? People worked on it for days to make this successful. When I say we were paid and every one on stage was paid I only meant that, there was investment in the performances.
