The Chief Executive Officer of Focus 1 Group, Mr. Kwame Adu-Mante has supported the Sekondi Prisons with a cheque of Eight Thousand Cedis for the construction of an Infirmary to cater to the health needs of the inmates.
The presentation of the cheque was made when the management and staff of the Focus 1 Media Group donated some items to the inmates of the prison.
The donation forms part of the CEO’s Annual Valentine’s Day practice to provide the prisoners with items ranging from food packs, soft drinks, boxes of toothpaste, and toothbrushes.
The Deputy Director of Prisons, Mr. Abraham Allotey disclosed in an interview said that one of the major challenges they face has to do with the provision of medical care for the inmates.
Mr. Abraham Allotey was grateful to the CEO for the kind gesture demonstrated to the inmates.
He thus called for other benevolent entities to assist the prisoners to access quality health care.
