Ministry of Health clears pharmacist salaries and assures payment for nurses and allied health interns

The Ministry of Health has successfully processed salary payments for 321 Pharmacist House Officers who completed their housemanship in 2024.

This development marks a significant step towards addressing outstanding financial obligations within the health sector.

However, the Ministry acknowledges that 2024 batch of Rotation Nurses and Allied Health Interns, who completed their rotations in May 2025, are yet to receive their salaries. The delay is attributed to the previous government’s inability to secure the necessary financial clearance before the commencement of their rotations.

The Ministry is working closely with relevant government agencies to prioritize and expedite the clearance process, ensuring timely disbursement of all outstanding salaries.
