Stephen Amoah rallies NPP for unity and strategy ahead of 2028 elections

Member of Parliament for Nhyiaeso and former Deputy Finance Minister, Stephen Amoah, has underscored the vital role of the party’s ongoing conference in shaping the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) future and electoral strategy.

Describing the event as a key opportunity to promote unity and internal harmony, Mr. Amoah said, “There should be peace here. There should be unity here. We should be able to move and approve motions that will enable us to win 2028.” He stressed that fostering cohesion is essential not only for electoral success but for the broader goal of national development.

Expressing strong confidence in the NPP’s capacity to outperform the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), he stated, “NPP is far better than NDC. It doesn’t matter what anybody wants to say. But if you don’t have power, you can’t build.”

While acknowledging occasional internal disagreements, Mr. Amoah clarified that such differences are natural in any political movement and should not be misinterpreted as division. Instead, he called for stronger collaboration and mutual respect among members.

“We want peace here. We want tranquility. We want coherence. We want to show that NPP is still a formidable party, although we are in opposition. And that we are united,” he affirmed.

He concluded by urging that all decisions and motions adopted during the conference should be strategically aligned with the party’s objective of reclaiming power in the 2028 general elections.

“Every single motion here should be geared towards the higher probability that NPP will win 2028. That’s all that we want,” he emphasized.
