Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe invests in Education: 134 Community Teachers supported across 34 schools in Amenfi Central
The Member of Parliament for Amenfi Central Constituency, Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe, has reaffirmed her commitment to improving education in her constituency through a major teacher support initiative that is positively transforming lives.
Under her Teacher Initiative, Hon. Gyan Cudjoe is funding the salaries of 134 community teachers serving in 34 Basic Schools across Amenfi Central, directly impacting a student population of 8,391. The initiative represents a monthly investment of GHS 466,760, highlighting her dedication to bridging the educational gap and promoting academic excellence in underserved areas.
This support has brought significant relief to many communities struggling with teacher shortages. Some of the beneficiary schools include Agyedum D/A Basic, Obing Methodist Primary, Chichiso No. 2 D/A Basic, Nyamebekyere D/A, Adidase D/A Basic, Juabo D/A & R/C, Anyinabrem Methodist & D/A, Amuni R/C and D/A, Anakum D/A, R/C & Falaahiya schools, and many others across the constituency.
In total, 34 schools are benefiting from the initiative, providing essential teaching support in areas where teacher availability has long been a challenge. The consistent funding of community teacher salaries is seen as a bold step toward ensuring that every child in Amenfi Central has access to quality education, regardless of location.
