“I sincerely apologize for the unfortunate act of indiscretion,” Sammy Gyamfi stated in reference to the cash gift given to Agradaa

Sammy Gyamfi, the Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod), has responded to a surge of public criticism after what he referred to as a private gesture of kindness unexpectedly became public.
A recent video circulating online shows a brief encounter between Sammy Gyamfi, Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod), and former fetish priestess turned evangelist Patricia Oduro Koranteng, popularly known as Nana Agradaa.
In the footage, Agradaa is seen asking for U.S. dollar notes from Mr. Gyamfi’s vehicle. Shortly after, Mr. Gyamfi is shown counting several dollar bills, which Agradaa then grabs and flaunts to bystanders.
Following the video’s viral spread and the resulting backlash, Mr. Gyamfi addressed the situation on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter). In his statement, he clarified that the gesture was consistent with his “daily and lifelong habit of helping those in need.”
