The Member of Parliament for Effia Constituency, Lawyer Isaac Boamah Nyarko, is calling for collaborative efforts between Members of Parliament in the Western region to prioritize the development of the region rather than trying to score political points.
In an interview on Beach FM, Lawyer Boamah Nyarko mentioned that the progress of the youth is of utmost importance to him and not to take credit on political lines.
He highlighted youth employment opportunities that need to be explored in the marine and agriculture sectors to make the dream of developing the Western region come true.
Lawyer Isaac Boamah Nyarko stated that the partnership between the NDC and NPP will go a long way to set the region up for business in a bid to curb unemployment.
“We are one region. Like I said, my discussion with the port director was about how we can improve business such that all the investments that we have across the region, we can partner and bring the needed employment and development. So, if we are not one as MPS for the region, as MPS, we need to share a common goal for the region.
“Let’s develop a common goal. Let’s fight for nothing to come to the region. If the Takoradi port becomes transformed like the Tema port, the business that will come here will go beyond Takoradi.
How many haulage businesses will be established there? Businesses will come, and companies will come.
Touching on fostering unity in the constituency, Lawyer Boamah called for the support and goodwill to truly bring transformation and development to constituents.
He says he doesn’t intend to enjoy all the privileges as the MP of the Effia Constituency but is keen to bring change in the lives of the indigenes.
According to him, “You don’t just need power; you need power to transform. And so they should have this at the back of their mind. Those four years in NDC, what will be their message to the development of the people of Effia? I’m going to support them.
I’m going to help bring that transformation and that change. But it is not me; it is us. So I need their support.
I need their prayers. I need their collaboration. They themselves should speak about the unity between Majeed and me. It shouldn’t be me talking about unity”
