The Member of Parliament for Effia Constituency, Isaac Boamah-Nyarko (Esq), has once again demonstrated his commitment to education by covering the cost of mock examinations for more than 1,200 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates in the constituency.
The MP made a payment of GHS 27,700 to the Effia-Kwesimintsim Municipal Education Office to fully fund the mock exams, an initiative aimed at adequately preparing students for their upcoming BECE. This marks the second consecutive year he has supported the exercise.
“As the Member of Parliament for Effia Constituency, I have made a payment of ¢27,700 to the Effia-Kwesimintsim Municipal Education Office to cover mock exam fees for over 1,200 students in our constituency,” Mr. Boamah-Nyarko stated. “This initiative, which I also supported in the 2024 academic year, aims to adequately prepare our young students for the upcoming Basic Education Certificate Examinations.”
He further expressed appreciation to educators for their dedication to the academic growth of the students. “I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the headteachers and teachers of the various schools for their tireless efforts and unwavering commitment to the educational development of our children. Your dedication is truly commendable,” he said.
Isaac Boamah-Nyarko also shared words of encouragement for the candidates as they sit for the mock exams. “To all the candidates, I wish you the very best as you embark on these mock exams. May this experience sharpen your skills, boost your confidence and prepare you for success in your final exams. I am confident that with hard work and determination, you will excel and make your constituency proud,” he added.
This support forms part of the MP’s broader efforts to promote quality education and improve academic performance within the Effia Constituency.
