The opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) has opened its doors to members and identifiable groups to make inputs into the party’s constitutional amendment.
In a memo dated April 25, 2025, the party has, therefore, directed persons who intend to submit proposals for consideration to submit same either to the Office of the General Secretary at the Party Headquarters or send directly to the Constitutional Amendment Committee through the Committee’s Secretary or via e-mail at [email protected].
The deadline for submission of all proposals is Friday, May 09, 2025.
“The party looks forward to receiving from its members proposals for constitutional reforms, adoption of which will result in the NPP having a Revised Constitution that addresses all the structural and other critical issues confronting the party,” the statement signed by the General Secretary, Justin Kodua Frimpong, stated.
The memo indicated that the party would hold an Extraordinary National Delegates Conference in July this year, pursuant to article 10(2)(8) of the party Constitution primarily to consider the various amendment proposals which shall be tabled before the Conference in the form of motions for adoption.
