
President Mahama has called on the Ghana Armed Forces to play a crucial role in both national and economic development.
During a meeting with military officers, President Mahama underscored the importance of strengthening internal peace and security while also contributing to agricultural growth through the Defence Industries Holding Company Limited (DIHoC).
He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to supporting the Ministry of Defence and announced plans to further increase the budget allocation to enhance military operations and assets.
The President also encouraged the Armed Forces to embrace innovation in financing and training, urging them to utilize their resources in agro-processing and manufacturing to support Ghana’s food security and industrial advancement.
