BOST takes bold step toward a sustainable future with launch of green transition department

The Bulk Energy Storage and Transportation Company (BOST) has made a major move towards a fair energy transition by launching a dedicated green transition department.

This initiative is focused on integrating sustainable energy sources across all BOST depots, reducing the company’s environmental impact, and fostering cleaner energy practices.

Madam Adjowa Serwaa Bondzie, Deputy Managing Director of BOST, highlighted the company’s strong commitment to a just energy transition.

She said, ” Currently with Boss, we now have a green transition department. We are ensuring that all our depots are also going to have alternative sources of energy. It’s something that is in fancy. We want to achieve results because we want to ensure that our carbon prints is also minimized because you know the job that we do, we are tracking fuel from Tema to other parts of the country which we know, cause a lot of pollution. So we are trying to ensure that there’s a balance in our use of energy.”

” We are hoping to do other things that’s still the missing fancy. So as my MD and I would say, want to get results first, but I know that the energy minister has set up the green transition committee, and then he’s hoping that with the consultation from the various people who are on the committee, Ghana will able to not just do the green transition but also do the just transition,” Madam Bondzie noted.
