Dr. Stephen Yamoah reaffirms government support for Ghana’s Nuclear Power program

Dr. Stephen Yamoah, the Executive Director of Nuclear Power Ghana, has affirmed that the new administration fully supports Ghana’s nuclear power program and is committed to advancing the successful implementation of its second phase.

Dr. Yamoah highlighted Ghana’s dedication to diversifying its energy sources and reducing reliance on fossil fuels.

He also stressed that nuclear energy is essential for ensuring a sustainable and stable energy future.

” We have all the assurances and support from the government, and we are looking forward to accelerating the various activities earmarked for phase two of the nuclear power program,”

Dr. Yamoah stressed the significance of nuclear fuel in the next phase of Ghana’s nuclear power program.

He said, “We have the fuller permit which is the uranium-235, which causes the chain reaction, and the fuel pellets.”
