$400M spent, yet not a single hospital under Agenda 111 is operational – President Mahama

President John Dramani Mahama has disclosed that none of the hospitals under the Agenda 111 initiative are operational, despite the previous administration led by Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo spending a staggering $400 million on the project.
He made this statement during his inaugural State of the Nation Address (SoNA) on the floor of Parliament on Thursday, February 27, 2025.
President Mahama stated that despite the substantial financial investments, none of the hospitals have been completed or made operational.
“It is important to note that USD 400 million has already been allocated to the Agenda 111 project, yet not a single hospital under this massive initiative is serving the people of Ghana,” President Mahama emphasized.
He further pointed out that the funds already spent on the Agenda 111 project could have been used to complete and operationalize at least 22 of the proposed hospitals, had the resources been utilized more efficiently.
