England to play Senegal on June 10
The Three Lions of England will face Senegal in a friendly game at the Nottingham Forest stadium on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, before hosting Wales at Wembley.
According to the Football Association, the two high-profile matches are meant to fine-tune England squad ahead of the 2026 World Cup.
With England aiming to clinch next year’s World Cup tournament, coach Thomas Tuchel and his charges are expected to tame down Senegal and Wales in the friendlies to boost confidence.
“The games against Senegal and Wales will present good challenges for us against two very different opponents”, Tuchel stated.
“Facing a strong African team in a passionate city with rich football heritage and then a derby match at the iconic Wembley; two big occasions that can only help us on the road to the World Cup.
“While I know Wembley is our home, I also understand the importance of taking the team around the country when we are able to and the opportunity to experience playing at a famous old English stadium such as the City Ground is one, we can all look forward to.”
The last time England met Senegal was at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, where the Three Lions won the game 3:0 with goals from Jordan Henderson, Harry Kane and Bukayo Saka.
