The General Overseer of the Potter’s Sanctuary Chapel in Takoradi, Bishop Bright Karikari, has implored church leaders to prioritize the agenda of church growth.
Delivering the sessional address at the 10th Annual General Council meeting of the church, Bishop Karikari noted that church growth is essential for the Christian.
According to Bishop Bright Karikari, empowering women, evangelism, and creating a congenial atmosphere for both new and old members are some pragmatic measures proposed to ensure church growth.
He recounted how COVID-19 has affected church membership and the need to ensure church growth.
“This sessional address will highlight key initiatives and set the tone for our deliberations during the general council session. In line with this theme, the church seeks to grow its members both qualitatively and quantitatively by adopting pragmatic steps.”
“The 2025 mission document will emphasise qualitative and quantitative growth for the church. This mission document dubbed the E6 strategic objectives focuses on planned thematic areas, empowering women to incite growth, evangelism and outreach programs, enforcing effective prayers”
“The highlight of the mission document is to empower women to engage in active ministry to incite numerical growth in the church.”
On his part, the Presiding Bishop of the Takoradi Christian Faith Church, Emmanuel Kwesi Botwe, observed that it is essential for the church to intensify the sharing of the gospel rather than enticing them with words that give no hope.
The Annual General Council assesses the performance of the church in all sectors, evaluates resolutions that were adopted in the year under review, and orient members towards a vision ahead for the ensuing year.
It was organised under the theme: Advancing God’s kingdom, growth our major tool. As part of the program lineup, church leaders gave their fraternal greetings from their various ministries.
