Exercise patience and expectations regarding upcoming appointments – W/R Minister

Western Regional Minister Joseph Nelson is calling on members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to remain calm and temper their expectations as the appointment process unfolds.

Minster Nelson reaffirmed his dedication to the region’s growth and the welfare of all citizens during an address to the party members at the Makarios Church, Takoradi Branch, following a thanksgiving service on Sunday, February 16.

He acknowledged that many are concerned and eager for opportunities, but encouraged them to trust the process.

This call for patience comes as the region awaits new appointments, with many party faithful eager to take on new roles.

“Let’s work together to manage our expectations because we all have different goals we want to achieve in this government. I’ve spoken to some of you individually, and I know we all have high hopes, but it’s crucial to remember that these goals take time to accomplish—they can’t be rushed. “

“As time passes, you might feel like your expectations aren’t being met, especially if you see your colleagues making progress, but please don’t let feelings of jealousy get the better of you. It’s essential to maintain a positive attitude and avoid making statements that could harm our party’s reputation. As your leader, I’m committed to supporting our region and its people, and with my experience as regional secretary for three consecutive terms, I’m dedicated to driving progress and ensuring our region thrives”

The Member of Parliament for Kwesimintsim Constituency, Lawyer Philip Fiifi Buckman, addressed the gathering on behalf of the five freshly minted Members of Parliament, assuring everyone of their unwavering commitment to propelling the regional development agenda.

“I’m speaking on behalf of the newly elected MPs from the Western Region, representing five constituencies. We’ve come together to form a united front, joining forces with the regional caucus to support our Regional Minister. Our goal is to work together to drive growth, development, and success in our region, and we’re committed to helping our Minister achieve his duties and make a positive impact on our community”
