On Tuesday, February 11, President John Dramani Mahama officially inaugurated a 19-member task force, known as the “120-Day Social Contract” team, at the Jubilee House.

The team has been tasked with overseeing the fulfillment of the president’s social contract during his first 120 days in office, ensuring that his promises are effectively executed.

Chaired by Dr. Valerie Sawyerr, Senior Presidential Advisor, the group includes a distinguished mix of ministers and advisors, such as Hon. Ato Forson (Minister for Finance), Hon. John Jinapor (Minister for Energy), and Hon. Dominic Ayine (Attorney General). Other notable members include Hon. Haruna Iddrisu (Minister for Education), Hon. Dzifa Gomashie (Minister for Tourism), and Hon. Agnes Naa Momo Lartey (Minister-Designate for Gender).

President Mahama’s social contract aims to bring about transformative governance, focusing on creating a streamlined and efficient government, addressing key economic challenges, and rolling out impactful social interventions. The task force’s role is crucial in ensuring these commitments are realized within the 120-day window.

As the president embarks on this ambitious plan, the 19-member task force will be instrumental in tracking progress, tackling challenges, and proposing solutions to guarantee the success of the social contract.
