President Mahama appoints Brigadier-General Tanye-Kulono as Acting GPHA Director-General
President John Dramani Mahama has made a significant appointment, naming Brigadier-General Paul Seidu Tanye-Kolono as the Acting Director General of the Ghana Port and Harbours Authority (GPHA).
Brigadier-General Tanye-Kulono, a distinguished military officer and legal professional, currently serves as the Deputy Commandant of the National College of Defense Studies (NCDS) at Burma Camp, Accra.
His appointment leverages his vast experience in leadership, law, and security strategy to benefit the GPHA.
Brigadier-General Tanye-Kulono holds multiple advanced degrees, including a Master of Laws (LLM) in Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution from the George Washington School of Law, a Master in Management Studies from Osmania University, India, and a Master of Arts in International Affairs from the University of Ghana.
He was called to the Ghanaian Bar in 2015, further strengthening his legal credentials.
His professional development includes military training from prestigious institutions such as the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, the United States Army Command and Staff College, and the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre.
Throughout his career, Brigadier-General Tanye-Kulono has held several key leadership positions, including Chief Coordinator at NCDS, Assistant Commandant at the Training and Doctrine Command, and Deputy Director-General of Training at Ghana’s General Headquarters (GHQ).
