Ghana Water Limited (GWL) has announced the appointment of Hon. Adam Mutawakilu as its Acting Managing Director, following his selection by President John Dramani Mahama.
His appointment is pending approval by both the Board and the Public Services Commission.
Hon. Mutawakilu, a former Member of Parliament for Damongo and former Ranking Member of the Mines and Energy Committee, brings a wealth of experience in governance, finance, and policy-making. He holds several degrees, including an MSc in Development Finance and Energy Economics.
In his inaugural address to the staff, Hon. Mutawakilu expressed his appreciation for the opportunity to lead GWL and committed to working closely with stakeholders to improve water supply services nationwide. Recognizing GWL’s vital role in providing reliable access to clean water, he reaffirmed his dedication to reaching both underserved and unserved communities.
