Car bomb kills 15, including 14 women, in Northern Syria
Fifteen people, including 14 women, lost their lives in a car bomb attack targeting a vehicle transporting agricultural workers in northern Syria, according to first responders.
The blast, which occurred on the outskirts of Manbij, east of Aleppo, also left 15 women injured, the Syria Civil Defence, known as the White Helmets, reported.
Some of the wounded remain in critical condition, and the agency warned that the number of fatalities could increase. “We fear the death toll might rise,” the White Helmets stated.
No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.
This marks the second fatal car bombing in the Manbij region within three days.
On Saturday, another explosion in the city centre killed four people, including a woman and two children, the White Helmets confirmed.
