Former Member of Parliament for Odododiodio constituency, Edwin Nii Lante Vanderpuye has affirmed his unwavering support behind Kofi Adams, the Sports and Recreation minister-designate, ahead of his vetting in Parliament.
Vanderpuye, a former minister of Youth and Sports, was highly tipped to return to his former position but Kofi Adams ended up as President John Dramani Mahama’s pick.
Even though he was considered for the position, Nii Lante Vanderpuye believes the focus should be on teamwork and not personal ambition hence the need to support Kofi Adams to succeed.
“It’s about teamwork and not personalities. It’s about collective success and individual achievement. Wishing Hon. Kofi Adams the best at the vetting on Thursday.”
He was highly confident that Kofi Adams will achieve huge success when approved as the minister for Sports and Recreation.
