Belgian footballer, Radja Naingollan has been apprehended by the police in cocaine trafficking saga.
The former AS Roma and Inter Milan midfielder was arrested by the Belgian police on Monday morning as part of investigation into the case.
“The investigation concerns alleged facts of importation of cocaine from South America to Europe, via the port of Antwerp, and its redistribution in Belgium,” the Brussels prosecutor’s office said in a statement.
His arrest comes six days after coming back from retirement to sign for Lokeren in the Belgian second division.
Naingollan was on target when Lokeren drew 1:1 at home to K. Lierse.
